1st Day at Home Alone

Yesterday was my first day at home without Ryan or anyone else.

We started the day off good with a feeding at 6am and then Payne went right back to sleep and so did momma. Ryan left for work about 8 and I got up around 830 to eat breakfast. Payne ate again at 9 and then slept in his crib while I pumped. After that I started the laundry and wrote thank you notes. Then Payne woke up and we hung for a bit, then I took a shower while he hung out in the bassinet and went back to sleep. I got ready and then dusted and vacuumed the house. Then it was time for lunch so I ate and then feed him again at 12. Then he had some wake time while I fixed Ryan lunch. Ryan came home and Payne took a nap in his daddy's arms while momma laid on the couch for a few minutes of shut eye. Sadly Ryan had to go back to work so Payne and I laid on the couch some more. There we stayed until 530 when Ryan came back home. Then Helga and Adam from our Bible study group brought us a great dinner. Then Ryan and I watched the trashiest show ever, Bachelor Pad. Somehow we both love it and look forward to it every week.

Payne sleeping on the couch with me. Below is my super child who can wiggle his way all over this crib, even out of the sleep postioner when he was wrapped up in his blanket.

By the end of the day I was exhausted. I think I will limit my activities for today.

Our weekend

Well, last week my mom and Gran came on Thursday to see Payne. Ryan and I were able to run some errands while they watched him. Then that night we went to take his newborn pictures, which I just love. (go down to the last post and you can see them)
Before we left

Friday morning they left and Ryan, Payne and I went to Hobby Lobby to get a few things. Ryan and I were feeling crafty I guess. We then came home and got crafty. We hung the crosses and I also painted a painting that is almost done.

Before and after. We are waiting on one more to go on the top left.
Then Saturday morning Payne and Ryan had cuddle time in the bed while I got ready, then Ryan and I switched.

Ryan's parents came up for the day to see Payne and let us go on a date. Though that afternoon we went to Sallie Grace's birthday party. It was so cute. She had a blast.

That night Ryan and I went to Bordino's for dinner. I had been wanting to go there since I was pregnant, but my favorite thing I couldn't eat because it had goat cheese. Then Sunday morning we went to church. Payne did good until Nick started preaching and then he decided he was hungry and started crying. So, I left and went to feed him and waited for them to get out. Sunday afternoon tried to pick up our house that was out of control. Then I went to Flavour at the church that night along with 450 other women. I got to see Sherry Johnston from the Biggest Loser.

On our way to church.

We had a busy past few days. Today I just stayed at home.

Maternity Pictures

A few days before the little man arrived, one of my friends Staci Coston took these maternity pictures for me. I love how they turned out. By the way, it makes me laugh that I was that big a week ago!!!

Ryan thought it would be funny to make a heart on my belly.

Update on the first few days at home

Sorry I haven't really told you much details to our new life.

Sunday:
Ryan, Payne, and I just hung out Sunday. We had to no plans except for some visitors to come by. Payne slept pretty good the first night. We figured out he doesn't like to be cold what so ever and likes to be swaddled up in his blanket. Ryan ran to Target for a few things and my Aunt Karen and cousin Lauren came by. Then my sister and Rachie and Blake drop by as well. Then we decided we wanted to go on a walk. It was really hot so it only lasted about 20 minutes. Payne slept the whole time. Surprise, Surprise!

He also sucks on his hand a lot too. I would give him a passy, but Ryan said no.

Monday:
Since Payne had slept pretty good I decided I would go get my nails done and run by Hobby Lobby in between feedings. Ryan stayed home with Payne, but he said he slept in his crib the whole time. We also learned that he really likes his swing. He loves to look at the mobile when he is awake or he just sleeps for hours in there. Before I went to get my nails done we gave him is first sponge bath at home. He wasn't very happy about it. Monday night it was a little bit cooler so we went on another walk. I am still having a lot of back pain so, the walks aren't getting to last very long.

We are trying to learn to call the hogs. We are planning on tailgating next weekend!

Tuesday:
The night was a rough one. He didn't sleep well, due to his short feedings I believe. As well, as the diapers changed from thick tar to running yucky mess! Therefore when I picked him up out of the bassinet at 6am his diaper had leaked everywhere!!!! So we put him in our bed to change him and he peed all in our bed. Therefore, I meant everyone was up for the day at 6am! We also tried the passy, and he took it for a little bit. Ryan is still telling me only at night. Ryan then decided to get ready and run to Wal-Mart and get our food, while Payne and I slept. Then I got up and got ready and we headed out around 10 to go to Target, the doctor, Glo, and to turn in insurance papers. Payne did really well. I was so glad. He only screamed at the doctor because he was hungry and we took care of that and all was good.

On our way out to run errands.

Last night we also had tummy time. He wasn't so sure about that idea.

All wrapped up for bed time. This is the way we sleep all the time.

The doctor said that he now weighs 7.5 pounds, so he had lost a little, but everything else was looking good. We go back again next week. She also told me I could begin to pump, so I was really excited, because I was really sore. It wasn't an hour later I was pumping and feeling much much better!! Payne had a bottle at his 3pm feeding and took it like a champ! I was so excited!

Wednesday:
The night was good, he didn't scream. He is just awake for about 30-45 minutes after a feeding so that is hard because he wants you to hold him. We are planning on trying bottles tonight since he can eat those a lot faster and maybe it will cut down in the time we are both awake at night.
Since I was now pumping Ryan feed Payne a bottle this morning. Ryan did so good and so did Payne.
Today is my co-teachers birthday so I ran by the school to take her presents and the kids cookies. It was so fun to see everyone. One of my kids from last year told me I was skinny again! I laughed! Then I picked Ryan up lunch from his favorite spot, Stone Mill, and headed back home. Now, its Ryan's turn to go out and run his errands.

Here is the little booger swinging away!
