On the road again

I'm sad to report that Ryan and I will be spending our first Thanksgiving as man and wife apart. I drove down to Little Rock yesterday so that my mom, gran, and I could drive to Texas this morning. We left at 745 to head south on our six hour journey and well we still are not there yet and it's 330. Between the three of us it has been a slow journey. We have been to walmart, sonic, pick up gran, Bryce's cafeteria, the pop pop shop to get popcorn , sonic again, to get gas, and a bathroom stop. So needless to say we are still here in the car. I have laughed a lot. Every question I ask my mom my gran answers with her opinion. Then she is the worse backseat driver ever and gets mad when we get lost or there is construction. Anyways the plan for when we finally get there is to unload, rest, eat, and then have game night.

Ryan had to work have a day today, but is now headed to Benton to spend time with his family. Maybe, he will have some stories by the end of the week.

I hope everyone has a blessed and great Thanksgiving.

****I typed this on my phone in the car so I'm sorry for any mistakes. ***

November

Well, well, well, I've been a huge blog slacker. I thought I would get caught up since I'm sitting at Everett Maxey waiting to get Ryan's oil changed and I'm the only person under 50 or the only woman here. Please forgive my mistakes during this post, I'm typing on my phone.

Over the last few weeks we have wrapped up home razorback football games, our Sunday night bible study, We have been ready for christmas for over two weeks now and well I'm offically on thanksgiving break. I have many plans for myself over this break. We have cleaned out our garage and we orangized it , I have given our bathroom a good deep cleaning, painted our ceiling from where we had a leak from the ice storm in august, I need to finish my Christmas shopping, finish a painting for Ali and B, make sure I have everything ready for Ali's bacherlotte party , get my bridesmaid dress fitted, travel to Texas to see family , and much more.

When I get back home I'll post some pictures of the last several weeks of our lives, but other than that there isn't much to tell.

Always Busy

On Monday, I decided I would get all my chores knocked out. So, I went to Wal-Mart at 4 along with everyone else in Fayetteville. I didn't get out of there until 5:30 and it was raining! Nothing worse! Then I got home and I cooked dinner and Tim and Leigh came over for dinner. We are still doing our weekly dinners! They are one of my favorite times of the week. Tuesday nights plans were to eat the taco soup that Mrs. Debbie sent us and clean our garage. Cleaning the garage took WAY longer than I thought. But, all said and done it looks great now. Thanks Ryan for cleaning it all!

The rest of the week is busy, busy, busy!

Wednesday -Bible study with our new small group. I love this night of the week too! I have enjoyed getting to hang out with other couples and getting close to God.
Thursday - Cheerleading. I love cheerleading. Those girls are so fun and I love teaching them how to be close to God.
Friday- Parent/Teacher Conferences, Ryan's parents will be here, and Ryan and I are supposed to have a date night.
Saturday- Football game and Papa and Tracey are coming to town.
Sunday- Church, clean house, and starting a new small group with newly weds and nearly weds. I will let you know how it goes!

Weekend Wrap Up

Over the weekend Ryan and I headed to Little Rock and Benton for 2 of Allison's showers and the Cinderella Ball. The showers were both holiday themed so it was fun to get into the holiday spirit.

I don't have any pictures from the second shower.

After the shower on Saturday I watched the game with Aunt Karen, Uncle Ty, my papa and Tracey. Since it wasn't a very exciting game I decided to take a nap. Then when I woke up Ryan was back form Benton and we got ready for the Cinderella Ball. It was fun, I like to go to charity events. My favorite is in February, the Heart Ball.

Here is Ryan and I before we left. My papa has the pictures from when we were at the ball.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Sunday, we slept in and then Tracey made us omelets. Then we hung out and headed back to Benton for the next shower. After the shower Ryan and I headed back to Fayetteville.

Camping in the COLD weather!

For Father's Day Ryan and I gave my dad a weekend camping. We thought we would go in August but, my father thought October would be better. It was a little chilly! After changing where we were going to camp several time between July and October we settled on Steel Creek on the Buffalo. Ryan and I headed out on Friday afternoon with directions that said an hour and a half. An hour and a half into it we figured out we missed our turn and we went going to Harrison and around which was going to take longer. We thought we found some short cuts and went back to reading our directions. They were correct but not from where we were. Needless to say Ryan and I were lost for about an hour with no cell service and it was dark and there are no sign. We finally found it! Needless to say we didn't know how pretty it was until the next morning when we got up. Thankfully, we had sent our tent with my parents earlier so they could have it pitched when we got there.
There was a ton of people there camping.
Our camp site.

Inside the mess hall. There were a lot of dogs there and Breck wanted to go out and play.
Dad and Tracey in the mess hall while it was raining and we were waiting to go hike.

When we were still on our first part of the hike. I still had a smile on my face.

There were a ton of little waterfalls

The beautiful view from the first look out.
At night we hung in the "Mess Hall" and played cards and told ghost stories. We ate very well the entire time with biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, hot dogs, sandwiches, lots of snacks, and of course candy! The next day we went down this 6 mile dirt road in the middle of no where to go hike to Hawksbill Crag. It was awesome and worth it!
Hawksbill Crag and the wonderful fall colors.

Garage Sale!

I have no pictures but, Ryan and I had a garage sale to get rid of the things that we collected through the years of college and the things we things we had doubles of after getting married. Ryan's parents came up and help us set everything up the weekend before so that I didn't stress out the week of. Everything went very well. The only part I didn't like was getting up at 5:30 so we could move the wood out of the garage that was for the deck. Other than that we were very busy from 6:50- 1:30. Overall, we made over $300! Whoo!

New Deck!

Well, Matt Gunn one of Ryan's good friends decided he needed another project to do so he wanted to built us another deck. I agreed with the idea if and only if it was completed for the Family Tailgate Party on October 10. They said it would be and it was! It looks great! Thanks to everyone that helped! Matt, Tim, Ryan, and Munsey!

Matt and Ryan putting in the braces for the deck.

How many boys does it take to build a deck?

Things got out of control a little.......
Afterwards, we have people over to watch the Razorbacks play.
The new and improved deck! It is beautiful!

Thanks again boys!

Getting Caught Up

Well, I am a blog slacker. I know.
A few weeks ago we finally got our wedding pictures. We spread them out to try to get them organized and we wanted to look at them. This is about as far as we got.

The stacks were over whelming. I wasn't sure what to do with them because they were in albums. So yesterday, I went to Wal-Mart and got albums for them. I have three full albums and still have the reception to get in one. I am so tried of sliding pictures in though. But, I do like to look at them and think back.

Also, this weekend Ryan's parents came up for a shower we were hosting but, Saturday morning they came over to help us get ready for our garage sale. I am so excited about this! I can't wait to get rid of all this stuff out of our garage! Thanks for helping us!!
Then Ryan and I and several other friends hosted a shower for my sister-in-law and soon to be bro-in-law! It was so much fun getting to hang out with friends and seeing people who we don't always get to see. I forgot my camera so there are no pictures from me, sorry!
Then after church on Sunday I ran some errands and then cleaned the house because we had people over to eat the leftovers from Saturday night!

The cutest little boy on earth! Brody!

Allison, Jennifer, Jill, Me, and Brody
Brody and I! He ate dinner in my lap! The poor boy has rotavirus! He was so fun to play with!

Hard to Blog

Being a working woman makes it hard to blog.

Over the past week I have done many things. We finally got a new roof! Whoo hoo! And this week we got our ceiling repaired so tomorrow I will repaint it! Then all of that will be taken care of! My third graders had a play last week which was SOOOO cute!

On Saturday Tim, Leigh, Ryan, and I went to the LPGA up in Rogers. It was so fun to just walk around and talk. About 3 Leigh and I got bored so we left and went shopping. Then we meet back up with the boys and had dinner.

Sunday, I got up and drove to Benton for Ali's first wedding shower. It was a lot of fun and she got lots of stuff. I have no pictures because I was writing gifts. We did get to pick up our Razorback! I am so excited that we have it for the first Fayetteville football game!

***The Razorback came from the iron place on the side of the interstate in Benton***
I'll try to be better about blogging but, no promises!

Ladybugs!

Last weekend, (I know I am really late)
Sallie Grace had her 1st birthday!

It was so much fun! Renee's dad grilled out for everyone and there was lots of dips! They had it outside which was so fun for the kids. There was all sorts of toys, bean bag toss that Rich made in the shape of a ladybug, face painting, and even a balloon guy! All the kids had a blast! My favorite part was when Sallie ate her birthday cake! She was so good all day!

Rich and Renee out did themselves with the party! It was so sweet! Sallie's cake!

Sallie got a new car from Renee's parents! She loved it! Look at that cute little booty!
She loves water bottles! And well, Aunt Sarah always lets her chew on one.

She even sat and opened her presents! Singing Happy Birthday to her!

Digging in! She didn't hold back!
She even feed Renee and Rich! It was so cute!

Then we played together for a while! Then Ryan played with her and he was helping her get a drink of apple juice!

To yield or to stop?

Well, its official. I have now officially been pulled over twice as many times in the Altima than I ever was in my Jeep. All for stupid reasons if you ask me. Before you think I get pulled over all the time, it has been a total of 3 times in my 8 and half years of driving.

Once at the age of 16 for driving to close to the yellow line in Maumelle where there are no lights on the roads. The police officer ask me to walk the line. I was in my cheerleading top and pj pants. Needless to say I had never drank a day in my life and was terrified! Not only cause this police officer had me pulled over, but that I was going to be late for curfew.

The second time was after several warnings from my step-mom that my car would go faster than my Jeep. I guess I didn't listen because I got my car on Saturday and I was getting pulled over Wednesday at noon. He felt bad for me that I was in college and a nanny for kids who I was on my way to pick up and he was causing me to be late. OR that he couldn't prove that I was speeding since he had no radar gun!

Well, the third occurred today. I was getting on the interstate in Springdale when a State Trooper decided he wanted a better look at me. So, he pulled me over! He decided the reason for pulling me over was that I didn't come to a COMPLETE STOP at a YIELD sign! Who knew that was the new law? He asked for my driver's license which was in my trunk because I had put it there this morning when I got to work. I explained why it was there and then he asked where I worked. Turns out he knows a kid that went there so we talked about it. I guess being a teacher helped me out! He let me go without ever looking at my driver's license. What a nice guy he was! Though, I still want to see that law that says come to a complete stop at a yield sign when there are no cars coming!
