Married: 1 Week 1 Day

Hello all,

A little guest appearance from the hubby! It's been a while since I have posted anything but I just wanted to let everyone who came to the wedding or had Sarah and I in mind on May 23, 2009: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! The first week has flown by.

Also, I just wanted to tell Sarah that she is the best wife (which I already knew she would be) that anyone in the world could wish for. And not to sound cliche, I love you more and more every passing second. Ya'll, this is only the first full day back to reality and she let me play 18 holes of golf at FCC with the guys!!

Babe - I LOVE YOU!!!

Ryan

Welcome Home and New Hair!!!

We came home yesterday to find our laundry room had 100 GREEN balloons in it!! I laughed so hard! I knew Tim and Leigh were up to something when they kept asking what time we would be home! Though I loved it!!! Thanks you all for taking care of everything while we were gone! You all are great friends and we love you!!!
I had to pull them out of the laundry room to take the picture!

When we got back we dropped Lucy off at the house and went straight to get my hair cut off! I was super excited! Here are the pictures to show the story! I cut about 6 inches off. The lady who cut my hair was more nervous than I was. She was afraid I was going to cry and regret it, but I don't!!!
My hair before.

And after!
I absolutely love it! Can you tell?

Honeymoon Day 6 (last day)

Well I decided on the last night that I wanted to see the sunrise. So we got up at 5:15 to find out that the sun rises on the other side of the island and you can't see it! BOO! We walked around the resort and took a few last pictures. I was sad to leave but it was a wonderful week!

This is where we ate breakfast most mornings

Honeymoon Day 5

Well Thursday was our last full day in St. Lucia. I decided not to wear sunscreen because I wanted to be really dark but instead I just got really burnt. Stupid idea I know! Well we just laid out all day and hung out in the pool. Laying in the pool on the raft was my favorite with Ryan just pushing me around the pool talking to me! I was just perfect! After laying in the sun all day we went back to take our afternoon nap and then headed to dinner. We ate at the Italian restaurant called Armando's.

Honeymoon Day 4

Ryan and I before we began our adventure

Wednesday morning we got up to go on our excursion. It was a ton of fun. the views we got to see were amazing. We went to a small market that over looked the harbor of the capital city Castries. We looked around and then we were on our way again. When we got back in the jeep our guide ask us a question were were to think about. The question was...Why are there so many bananas in St. Lucia? Everywhere you looked you could see at least one banana plant. Yes it is a plant not a tree. Also on our adventure we went to the rain forest. It was beautiful and it wasn't raining so we got to hike all through it. At the bottom was a pool of water from the waterfall further up in the Rain forest. where you could swim. So Ryan jumped in and swam for a while, I sat on the edge and watched. Our guide was awesome and gave us so much information about the whole island.

Banana plants. They have blue bags over them to protect them from bugs and help them not to ripen so fast.
These are papayas growing on this tree.

One of the views. St. Lucia is very hilly!

Wednesday night we went over to the other resort to have dinner at Barefoot by the Sea. It was so good. We sat right at a table that was in the sand and was about 20ft from the ocean. It was gorgeous! Here are some pictures we took while we were over there!

Honeymoon Day 3

Tuesday morning they brought us our honeymooner breakfast in bed. It was great. And a perfect day for it since it was Ryan’s birthday! We had cereal, eggs, omelets, toast, croissants, and bacon. It was so good. We then got on our swimsuits and head to the pool for the day! We laid there all day. We finally went back to the room to take our mid afternoon nap and get ready for dinner. We ate at the Japanese restaurant called Kimonos. We ate with a 3 other couples that were traveling together for fun and they were all so nice. Also there was another newlywed couple from Tennessee that ate with us. Come to find out they were the ones that were below us when we locked ourselves out of our room. We all had a blast together!

Honeymoon Day 2

Our towels that the James, Morris's, and McDaniel's gave us!

Monday we slept in and then went to breakfast at the pavilion. We found us some lounging chairs by the pool and lay out! They had mats you could get to lay out in the pool so Ryan and I did that for half the morning. Then we ate lunch and lay out a little more by the beach. About mid afternoon we walked around the resort getting all our days laid out. We made reservations for dinner, the spa, and our excursions. Then in was off to take a nap for the afternoon. For dinner we got dressed and went to Piton which was a restaurant with Eastern Caribbean cuisine. After dinner Ryan and I played a game of lawn chess. He beat me and he was so excited! Then we walked around the resort and took pictures. When we got back to the room our door would only open about 2 inches. We tried for about 5 minutes to get it open our selves then finally decided to let maintenance handle it. They handled it alright. After the maintenance tried to kick down our door for 5 minutes they decide to just climb onto our balcony and come in through the sliding glass door. He didn’t get a ladder like we would have thought he just stack a chair on top of a table and pulled himself on up there and let us in. Our bathroom door had opened all the way and the front door was pushing on it and not allowing it to open. Needless to say when I finally went to shut the glass doors there was a crowd below wondering if we were being killed. So we told the story from our balcony.

The pool area at dinner time.

Here is the big lawn chess board! It was really a lot of fun!

Every night they came by and turned down our bed!

Honeymoon Day 1

We got up at 4:15 to begin our journey to St. Lucia. We got to the airport at 5 ate our breakfast and head to Atlanta. We got off the plane in Atlanta and went straight to the next plane and sat down. We were close to missing our flight. We got to St. Lucia about 2 o’clock all excited that we were close to being at the hotel to walk into the airport to find a customs line a mile long. We had to wait about an hour to get through all the paper work and get our bags. We finally got on the bus to go to the hotel and our driver was sooooo sloooow! We got passed by everyone driving that day. The island is only 27 miles long, and we were going from one end to the other but it took about an hour and fifteen minutes because of the hills and curvy roads they had. There wasn’t a straight road in sight! We finally got to the resort and went to our room and then straight to eat because by this time we hadn’t eaten in 12 hours. We walked around and found a hammock and hung out there for a while and walked on the beach then to the room to go to bed early.

Ryan and I laying by the beach. The waves were really small but just listening was so relaxing.

We are the finally the Green's!!!!

They had hammocks all over the resort. Ryan and I had one right outside our room where we laid at night!

Here is our room. We had towel swans on our bed but we had already taken them down!

Here is the bathroom!
