Day 3

We are still enjoying our time at the beach! It rained all morning long here and not a little, a lot! Mr. Randy and Ryan had headed out early to play golf, so the rest of us just hung out and played games, watched tv, and ate! I am definitely say I have eaten a lot on this trip! Oh well!

The boys came back around lunch time so we all ate and by then it had cleared up a little so we headed to the beach.

It was still a little cloudy, but everyone had fun. Ryan, Baxter, and Allison played in the waves for a while. They were the biggest waves I have ever seen.

We also played a little paddle ball.

Then we all laid out for a while.

After a while I got hot so I came to get in the pool and cool off before I hit the shower. Read the pool rules. We really liked rule number three.

Ryan and his daddy like to dress alike. :) We all thought it was pretty funny, but they didn't think so!

For dinner we headed down 30A to eat at Goatfeathers. None of us have ever eaten there, but we all agreed it was really good and made happy plates! After dinner we went to get sno cones and ice cream and do a little shopping. During the time we were walking around shopping it started pouring again! :(
This morning it is half way sunny, so hopefully we can have a beautiful day!

32 weeks!

How my life is changing:

Sleeping is getting better. I am still loving snow cones or anything cold! I am hot all the time. I have to just lay in the pool or sit in the pool because otherwise I turn red from how hot I get! I learned that salty foods make your feet swell. I won't be eating anymore popcorn or cheese dip! At my last appointment I had gained 13 pounds. I am going to try to start watching what I eat, but vacation isn't helping me at all!

Payne's Development:

Our appointment went well last week. Heartbeat was 140. We also had an ultrasound just to make sure everything was ok before we started traveling. He is still head down. The big bulge I keep filling on my right side is his butt and his feet and knees are on my left. He hasn't slowed down in the movement like I thought he would. Everything looks good she said. She also said that he is measuring a little early. I am beginning to wonder if he is planning on coming early.

Payne's Room and Things:

We are planning on doing some shopping while we are in Florida! That probably means he will get a several new outfits! Other than that his room hasn't changed much. I am hoping maybe when we get back in between vacations we can hang the pictures on the wall.

Things to Look Forward too:

We are enjoying our week in Florida with Ryan's family!
We have our first shower next Thursday, that I am super excited about!
Doctor's appointment next Thursday too. I still really excited about the doctors appointments! I love hearing his heartbeat!
We are headed to Colorado soon too!

Day 2 of Vacay

We laid low today. We all slept in this morning. It was raining and very cloudy when I got up. It finally quit raining and we headed to the pool. It stayed cloudy all day, but I still managed to get a little sun. We finally came up for lunch about three and then it rained really hard again. Soon it quit and we went back. I read two books while at the pool today. Even though they were out of my class library I'm sure my momma would be proud of me. We went down to the beach this evening and Baxter and Ryan played in the waves, while Ali and I stood on the beach and talked. Tonight Ryan and I took our turn in cooking. We made pesto tomato pork tenderloin, green bean bundles, deviled eggs, and rolls. It turned out pretty good. Now as I blog Mrs. Debbie, Ali, Baxter, and I are playing a very competitive game of phase 10. Ryan and Mr. Randy are reading and watching tv. Sorry no pictures today since I blogged from my phone.

WE ARE HERE!!

We made it to Florida!
We left Fayetteville last night at 9:15 after Ryan's cousin's wedding. We drove to Benton and loaded the car and headed on. We arrived in Destin at about 1:30 to eat at the Back Porch! One of my favorite restaurants! It took us 16 hours, but it really didn't feel that long.
After lunch we went to the grocery store and then headed to the condo.
After we unloaded everything, we got ready and headed to the pool.

After we hung out at the pool for a few hours we all took a walk on the beach.

Since we had a big lunch we just laid low tonight and ate hot dogs with cheese dip and salsa.

(The pictures are out of order and they are too big. We aren't sure how to resize them on this computer. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Sorry)

Picture Frame

LOOK WHAT I DID!
My aunt and cousin were in town this week and everywhere we went they had the cutest picture frames. So I decided I wanted to make one. This is how it turned out!! I am so so so proud of myself!

31 Weeks

How My Life's Changing:

I go to the bathroom way to often for my liking. I have to get up about 3-4 times a night and during the day it is about every 45 minutes.
I am still hungry and thirsty all the time. Nothing seems to fill me up.
I am always hot, summer is going to be really long!
My clothes are starting to be a little small, so I might be doing a little more shopping to try to finish out the summer. Or I can just wear the same 5 or 6 things over and over.
I am really enjoying sleeping in every morning and not having to get up and be at work at 8. That's going to be a reality check when I have to go back to work.
Sleeping is still rough, I sleep best from about 3-9. I think because by the time 3 am rolls around I am so exhausted I just pass out.
I really have been enjoying anything that is cold. I have also developed a new craving for deviled eggs. Not sure why, but they are so good!! I ate 8 in one sitting a few nights ago!

Payne's Development:

He is still about a foot and half long and weighs about 3.5 pounds. He's getting big! He is definitely getting stronger with his movement. Ryan can see him move around in my belly. It makes me laugh a lot to watch it. A lot of my family got to feel him move this weekend, so that was fun.

Payne's Room:

We are still needed to hang the white picture frames on the wall and put pictures in them. Other than that it is all ready! I love it!

Lindsey Kelly of LK Art painted the painting above the crib! I am in love with it!! Thanks so much Lindsey! Click on the link on the side of my blog to check her out!

Ryan got a few things for Father's Day! I think he is really excited that Payne will be here in a few short weeks! He got lots of cards, texts, presents, and congrats over the weekend.

Payne got him this outfit for his daddy to take him around in.

Then Ryan's mom got him this piggy bank that matches his room perfectly! So cute!

Things to Look Forward too:

My aunt and cousin are coming today hang out for the rest of the week.
We are head to Florida next week!
And I have an appointment tomorrow.
Also, I am pretty excited that my baby boy will be here soon! I can't wait to see what he looks like and just hold him!!!!

Family Reunion 2010

The Maulden Family has been having family reunions for about 8 years now. We go down to Jones Mill, Arkansas to Lake Catherine and spend the weekend with each other. We used to all stay in one house, but we are all a little older and need more beds so some of us head to Malvern to the hotel. We left Friday night and drove to Benton to see Ryan's parents and then headed on to the lake Saturday morning. We have a few traditions that make sure happen every year. First is on Saturday for lunch we always have Corky's BBQ. It is so good. Then we make the same breakfast every Sunday morning with the famous Maulden chocolate gravy. ( Not my favorite) The young married adults cook breakfast for everyone. We did good this year and only started two fires in the kitchen! Haha! We were ok! After breakfast we all gather around the Maulden sign and take our family photo. Other things we do every year is bad-mitten, croquet, jet ski, tube, and my favorite sit on the porch and talk. Here are a few pictures of this weekend.

Show Us Your Life- Proposal Story

It happened on August 19, 2008.

Tuesday after I got done teaching, I was supposed to meet my step sister, Dad, and Tracey at Rae-Marie's new dorm room but my first teacher's meeting ran way long! We also had plans at 6pm but about that in a minute. Ryan and Allison kept texting me all afternoon wondering where I was. I went home to meet Ryan so we could hurry to the dorm to check it out (by this time its 5:45). Ryan continues to ask me "How long will this take...only 10 minutes?" So back to the plans at 6...meet Jamie, who works for a testing service, and Tim on campus at the University of Arkansas to help pass out flyer's. So Ryan insisted I park on Arkansas Ave and walk up the center sidewalk to meet them at Old Main, they meet us halfway. Jamie started to get out about a 2 inch thick stack of bright colored paper, and I began moaning about how hungry I was and this was going to take forever, yada yada yada. So as Jamie barked directions to us on our walk up Old Main, Ryan started to pull on my hand and I kept swating him away. Jamie and Tim suddenly started walking behind us as Ryan practically pulled me off the sidewalk towards Spoofer's Stone. There was a rose petal walkway leading up to the stone with a bouquet of flowers, at this point I realized there were no flyer's to be past out, just a hoax to get me on campus. Ryan and I sat on Spoofer's Stone as we talked for a little bit before he read a Bible verse to me. He then got down on one knee-before he "popped the question" I screamed YES!! But he continued on and said "Sarah Marie Maulden, will you marry me?" and I screamed YES!! again.

Here are some pictures from that day.

This is when I realized what was going on.

Starting to read 1 Cor. 13. And you can tell I was getting excited.

Hugging because we were so happy!

Our families drove up to celebrate with us.

Confession!

Well, since it has been just over a year now, I guess I will confess!
One because it is funny now and two because I wanted Ryan and I to remember what happen that night! Though I don't think I'll ever forget it!
On our honeymoon the last night Ryan and I were sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean waiting on dinner time to roll around! I started to mess with my camera because Ryan didn't like the noise it made when it took a picture. Somehow when I was messing with it I deleted all the pictures on the camera. Well, you can only image what happened next. I had a complete panic attack and started bawling crying! There was nothing we could do! All the pictures were gone! No way to get them back! I went into complete panic mode. My thoughts were "Must retake all the pictures! NOW!!! We are leaving in 12 hours!"
So my sweet hubby tried to calm me down and reassure me that everything was going to be ok! Which it wasn't! I had no pictures of our honeymoon!!!!!!
Ryan suggested that we eat and then we could walk around and take some pictures. I wasn't hungry at all! I wanted my pictures back!!
I decided that we need to go back to all the places we had been and take pictures in the outfits we were wearing! Therefore, yes we went back to the room and got several outfits and put them in a bag and went back to all the places we had been and took pictures! That included a 30 minute bus ride to another resort to take pictures and then 30 minutes back! The only thing was we had gone on an excursion one day. I knew there was no hope of getting those pictures back! After about 3 hours of retaking pictures Ryan and I finally went back to the restaurant we were trying eat at several hours earlier and had dinner. Though we still hadn't taken enough pictures, so needless to say, we were up at 6 am the next morning to take more pictures during the day. I was satisfied with the pictures we retook, though I was completely sunburned in all of them. I think by the time we left the resort we had taken 111 pictures. Some people we met on the trip were also nice enough to send us some scenery pictures of the excursion as well. When we got back I took the camera to Bedford's to see if they could recover some of the pictures and they got about 5 pictures, all of the excursion we had been on, I was so happy in the store I cried! They gave them to me for free because they felt so bad for me, I guess!
Anyways! Here are a few pictures of right after my panic attack! You can tell I had been crying!

I had to regroup so we could take pictures and me not look like the crazy person I was! Also, here are the pictures they recovered! There were a bunch they didn't get back, but I was thankful for what they did get.

Ryan and our guide Shawayne
The fruit of death. You shouldn't eat it because your lips would become one big blister.

Since, this we now travel with a computer so we can upload the photos each day or I only touch the buttons on the camera I know how to use! There is no trying to change the settings anymore!!!

30 Weeks

How my life is changing:

Well, it's been a rough week for me.
Sleep went away. I was sleeping from about 10-1 and then I was awake the rest of the night. I started recording shows to watch in the middle of the night because I was wide awake. I finally discovered tylenol pm. That worked for a night, but now I still wake up about every hour, but I can go back to sleep in about 15-30 minutes instead of staying awake. Then to add to the no sleep, I burnt my hand while taking the cast iron skillet out of the oven. It hurt really bad, but I didn't cry like I wanted too. Then Friday, my knee gave out and I fell twisting my ankle and scrapping my knee all up. That hurt really bad too, but more or less scared me for the baby. Everything is ok, but my knee was swollen for a day.
I am hungry all the time and can't ever find something that really satisfies me. Being home for the summer has been hard since I have to make my own breakfast and lunch since the school doesn't feed me. I really like that, I didn't get a choice just had to eat what they gave me. Therefore, I never really wanted anything else.

Payne's Development:

I can't believe that I made it to 30 weeks. That seemed so far away when I found out I was pregnant.
Payne is about a foot and half long and weighs about 3 pounds. He doesn't kick and punch as much as he has before now he just rolls around and pushes his head and butt out. This makes me laugh when one side of my belly is sticking out way farther than the other half. The boy barley slows down, but I love feeling him move.

Payne's Room:

The furniture will be here today!!! I am so excited! I will make a whole post just for it!

Things to look forward to:

We have an appointment next Wednesday. Also, my aunt and cousin are coming to visit so they can see his room before he comes, so let's hope it gets done!
We are headed to the lake this weekend for the family reunion. I am ready for a weekend relaxing with family.

Ryan's Golf Trip

Ryan left Thursday night to go on a LONG weekend golf trip with some friends. I knew this weekend was coming for a while, but didn't realize how lonely I would be! By Friday night I was so ready for him to come home. I decided I don't like to stay by myself. I couldn't go anywhere because I worked at the store on Saturday, but next time I will be planning a fun trip for myself!!

They played the Payne Stewart golf course in Branson on Friday which Ryan was so excited about!!! (Why wouldn't he be, we are naming our child after him) He said it was really hard, but he wants to go back. Then Friday night they drove back to Harrison to play in a golf tournament there. He won the "Horse Race" golf match on Friday night! Then the played in the actual tournament on Saturday and Sunday. They finished fourth. He said they had an awesome time! I'm thankful Ryan has such wonderful friends to take a weekend getaway trip with and have some guy time, but I sure missed him!!!!! I forgot to send my camera with him so there are no pictures. I am not sure if I did send it I would have gotten any pictures. Oh well.

When I Grow Up....

Well, I have many fantasy dream jobs I would like to have.
When I was younger I always wanted to be a teacher and/or a stay at home mom.
I am already accomplished the teacher part and I am blessed enough that I will be able to stay at home with my little one during the summer and on holidays.
Though some of my other dream jobs were to be an astronaut. Why, I don't really know. That just always sounded like a cool job to have.
I also would like to be a personal organizer for people. I always am thinking how I could make things easier or more organized for people. I would like it to be a t.v show on HGTV. How fun would that be.
Another job I think I would like would be to plan weddings. Though after my own, I think there is to much work that goes into that. But, maybe I could do that one day or at least be an assistant to someone who does that.
Last but not least, is that I always wanted to be a crime scene investigator. I don't do blood or dead bodies so that job would never work out for me. I fulfill this fantasy by watching crime scene TV shows. I watched CSI in high school and part of college until I saw all the episodes. Then I moved on to Law and Order: SVU and then I eventually saw all of those episodes. Now I have a new favorite show I watch pretty much all the time, Criminal Minds. It has been one of my favorite shows now for about 8 months. I record all of them and watch them at all hours of the day. Some people say that they don't like them because they scare them. Normally, I would agree with this, but for some reason I love it.
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know what I wanted to be when I grow up.
Anyone else have dream jobs?

29 Weeks!!

How My Life is Changing:

I am done teaching until sometime in October with the exceptions of maybe a few days the beginning of the school year. I can't believe that! Even though I am off for the summer I have been extremely busy these past few days! I am planning on working up at the store (Ryan's office) a few times a week this summer. I figured I would get bored being at home all day everyday and I need something to do to pass my time.

The bathroom issue isn't any better. I don't see it getting better anytime soon, but maybe.
Sleep is getting to be harder, therefore I take lots of naps. My eyes hurt about every 4 weeks and then I have to wear my glasses for a few weeks. I am on the glasses cycle again. :(
I felt Payne have the hiccups for the first time in church on Sunday. He has had them a few times since.

Payne's Development:

Payne weighs about 2.5 pounds. His head is still growing and brain is developing. His lungs and muscles are still maturing. I can see him rolling around in my belly all the time. My appointment went well. I have gained 10 pounds and measured on track. His heartbeat was 155. For now he is head down and still very active. I will start going every 2 weeks now.

Payne's Room and Other Things:

I ordered the baby book. I waited for it all day Monday and to my surprise when I opened the door his blanket had come too!

It is perfect. I can't wait to start adding things to it!!

Still waiting on the crib and dresser to get here! Waiting is no fun! When I get it I will put the bedding on and show it to you! For now here is the blanket! I love that it has his name on it!

Once the furniture gets here I can hang all the white picture frames on the wall. I am about tired of seeing them sitting there and not on the wall.
While Kelley was here this weekend we picked up a few more outfits for him, one of students brought him some outfits, and the Fite's also bought him a cute little outfit.
The top three I bought him.

All the goodies from one of my students. The outfit Heather and Adam got him. I love it!

Things to Look Forward to:

I can't wait to organize Payne's room! I think I will probably redo it several times!
Our next appoint in June 23! I can't believe I'm already at 2 week appointments. I will will go by so fast.
We are headed to my family reunion, Florida, and Colorado here in a few weeks! I can't wait to spend time relaxing with family!! With all our trips I think summer will be over in no time and I will be a mommy!!!! Eeeek!!!
