Kansas City Part 1

Papa took us to Kansas City last week. We had some much fun exploring the city and doing lots of fun things. The first night we got there we figured we would drive around and get our bearings. Well, two hours later we were starving and couldn't find a place we wanted to eat. This was Payne's first experience staying in a hotel. He didn't really like the pack-n-play, therefore ended up sleeping with us. Needless, to say we didn't sleep much. That didn't hold him back for the next day. We went to Sea Life. It has been open less than two months, so the line to get in was really long. I thought it would be packed on the inside, but it wasn't. We all really liked it. Payne was in and out of the stroller all day. Sorry for the picture over load!!

In this area you could hold star fish and sea urchins. I held a star fish, but it was creepy to me!

They had lots of places you could go under and look around in a 360 view.

Payne would always want us to "come on" and see. Then we would try to move on he would throw a fit till we got to the next part.
He loved standing right up against the glass. He would tell all the fish "HEY" and wave at them.
They had a little walk through tunnel for kids. This was Payne's favorite part! We stayed there for about 30 minutes and he just ran in and out talking to the fish!

Underwater looking at sting rays and eels.

After Sea Life, we walked across the street to the Crayola Cafe. It was fun and the had a store Payne played in afterward.

Big Boy Bed

Last weekend we decided that we were going to change Payne's bed to a big boy bed. We decided to do this at the beginning of the summer, so we could work out all the kinks before I went back to work in August. Payne has always been a great sleeper, so I wasn't too worried. He absolutely loves being able to get in and out of bed by himself. He has done really well sleeping in it. He cries for a minute or so at the door, but then goes back to bed and lays down and falls asleep. The only problem is as soon as he wakes up he gets up. Before he would cry for a moment in his crib and then go back to sleep. Not any more!

Last time in a baby bed. Sad...
He got in and we told him to lay down. This is what he did.
So proud of himself for getting in alone.
He loves it! He gets his books out and gets in bed and reads for a while.

I can't believe he is so big!!

Maulden Family Reunion

Over Memorial Day weekend we had the Maulden Family Reunion. We headed down Friday afternoon to the lake house on Lake Catherine. We just hung out Friday night, then got up early Saturday morning and waited for the rest of the family to arrive. We took the family photo and then we hunted for out time capsule that was buried 8 years ago. Then  everyone hit the water. Payne loved riding on the jet ski, sitting on the tube, riding the boat, and playing in his pool. I love that my family gets together at the lake every year! We always make great memories and celebrate all the accomplishments from the year! This year we had Jack born, Sean graduate from high school, and Robert from college!

Babies, Babies, Babies!

My two best friends are having babies! They are both due in October, two weeks apart! It will be a busy fall for us! We have been to gender reveal parties for both and we are excited for each of them! Baby shower planning is in full swing!!

The Fite's gender reveal was at their house.
It's a girl! (Who is still nameless) I have a name I call her, but I will wait to say until they offically decide.

Then last weekend we went with the Fite's to Branson for the weekend and then headed over to Mt. Vernon to the Owen's gender reveal!

 It's a boy!! Palmer!!!

Mother's Day

We had a pretty laid back Mother's Day. Ryan's parents had come up Friday night and keep Payne on Saturday so that Ryan and I could run some errands and go to a graduation party for a friend. On Sunday, we went to church and then came home to relax. That afternoon I left the boys at home and went to get a manicure and pedicure.
Payne was sick on Friday so Ryan stayed home with him. They brought me a Sonic coke to school and a gift card! Then when I got home they had bought me these beautiful tulips!!

I am very blessed to have such a wonderful little boy in my life, no matter how crazy he may be!
