Noah's Ark

For Christmas Payne got the Little People Noah's Ark. He played with it every now and then like all his other toys, but lately he loves it. It is what he wants to do every time he gets up from a nap. We have started reading him the story of Noah from the bible at night. I would like to get him so more animals too. He seems to think all animals make the moo sound!

I Play Outside!

Payne loves to go outside!! I hear him say at least 100 times a day, "I play outside!" We play outside most everyday, but it has been so hot lately though that I can't stand outside for long with him. Lucky for us our back deck faces the east so after about 3 it is in the shade. I let him go out there then and run around. He also loves to help Ryan with anything in the yard.

Library

We went to the library on Monday for story time. There were way more people there than I would have ever thought. Payne is not one to jump right in, he wants to observe what is going on around him and make sure it is ok. He loved playing with the puzzles and seeing his friends Brody and Jillian.

If Brody does it, so will Payne. It is so funny to watch him try to be just like Brody! I love it!

Happy 60th Anniversary!

When Ryan and I were down in central Arkansas for my family reunion we were able to go over to Hot Springs for Ryan's grandparents anniversary. His grandparents, his parents, and ourselves all have anniversaries in May.We had a great time visiting with family and eating a wonderful dinner. Payne didn't care too much for his highchair. He sat in Dee-Dot and Big R's lap the whole night.

Kansas City Part 3

Tuesday we went to the Zoo. Payne loves animals. It is safe to say that turtles, birds, elephants, and giraffes were his favorite.

Of course, Payne would say "Hey" and wave at all the animals.

When we got to the girafees they had a little snack bar so we decided to eat lunch there. Payne mostly just ran around and yelled at the giraffes.
Wednesday we went to the water park. They had a great area for kids. Payne isn't much for water splashing in his face so he would just run around the water and play at the top of the slides. He would go down if you went with him.

Thursday we packed up and went to play putt putt before heading home. Payne loved riding on the luggage cart! He thought that was great!

We loved Kansas City! I can't wait to take Payne back! Thanks Papa for such a fun week!

Kansas City Part 2

After lunch on Monday we went to the splash pad! Payne thought this was the best thing he had ever done! The expressions on his face were so cute! I just loved seeing him so happy!! It took a few minutes to get warmed up to the water, but them he loved it!

That night we went down to the Country Club Plaza area and shopped and ate dinner. This was my favorite part of Kansas City. Payne thought  he was a big kid and wanted to walk with Papa!

Kansas City Part 1

Papa took us to Kansas City last week. We had some much fun exploring the city and doing lots of fun things. The first night we got there we figured we would drive around and get our bearings. Well, two hours later we were starving and couldn't find a place we wanted to eat. This was Payne's first experience staying in a hotel. He didn't really like the pack-n-play, therefore ended up sleeping with us. Needless, to say we didn't sleep much. That didn't hold him back for the next day. We went to Sea Life. It has been open less than two months, so the line to get in was really long. I thought it would be packed on the inside, but it wasn't. We all really liked it. Payne was in and out of the stroller all day. Sorry for the picture over load!!

In this area you could hold star fish and sea urchins. I held a star fish, but it was creepy to me!

They had lots of places you could go under and look around in a 360 view.

Payne would always want us to "come on" and see. Then we would try to move on he would throw a fit till we got to the next part.
He loved standing right up against the glass. He would tell all the fish "HEY" and wave at them.
They had a little walk through tunnel for kids. This was Payne's favorite part! We stayed there for about 30 minutes and he just ran in and out talking to the fish!

Underwater looking at sting rays and eels.

After Sea Life, we walked across the street to the Crayola Cafe. It was fun and the had a store Payne played in afterward.
